Essential Oils:
As an allergy sufferer, essential oils may be something you would never try. And some people are SO sensitive to scents they should stay away from them completely. However, there ARE oils / scents that tend to be beneficial to SOME allergy sufferers.
The scents that SOME allergy ridden people tend to tolerate well:
(These all have either inflammation and/or calming properties.)
Lavender
Mint / Peppermint (also good as a bug repentant if you have trouble with commercial sprays)
Citrus Family: lemon, orange, grapefruit
The Trees: spruce, Cyprus
Eucalyptus
Note: If smelling the scent outright in any way is too much, consider adding a little of the scent to a bath. Or, try applying the scent to the bottom of your feet; add socks.
